Treasury Wine Estates will lift prices of its top-tier Penfolds products as export demand rises and as Beijing lifts restrictions on wine from Australia. The price rise will come into effect on July 1, with the country’s largest wine producer expecting to begin shipping wine to China from Adelaide on Tuesday. The ASX-listed producer is the biggest beneficiary of a decision by China’s Ministry of Commerce last Friday to lift tariffs on Australian wine. They were imposed in late 2020.
